Gastronomic Offer of Advent 2023 in Zadar, Fourth Part

In a number of articles, we have presented the best offers from each one of this year's houses. Here is what the remaining houses have to offer in our last Advent tour.

Picnic Winter House

The group of Zadar fast food experts had already affirmed themselves at Advent fairs in Zadar and Zagreb not only for their excellent and imaginative burgers and warm sandwiches and cocktails that are being offered, of course, even this year, but also for some new dishes. Last year's hit was their somewhat different sarma which they have retained even this year but they have also surprised with a new type of top burger as well as other surprises.

Their Frenchie Burger consists of Kroštula brioche bread roll made of potato dough and juicy beef burger supplemented with chutney pomegranate, creamy brie cheese, Dijon aioli and arugula. Besides warm and cold cocktails, Picnic Winter House has an interesting offer of wines. Rare brands can be found such as Marchese Antinori Chianti Classico Reserva, TRS Genero, a limited edition of cupage Chardonnay and Graševina, and then the internationally famous Raventos Blanc de Blanc sparkling wine, specific Pošip of the Šain Marelić family from Korčula from more than 25 years old vineyards as well as the local favorites from the Degarra winery.

Polar Express

Ante Renić, the Polar Express chef, explained how during the first Advent week he had not yet completed his offer that during our visit was limited to sausages, homemade sausages and burgers but he surprised us with his sweets. An excellent homemade sweet made of cheese and Raffaelo will be a pleasant surprise for all sweets lovers.  Ante will complete his meat offer with several versions of tortillas.

Petrunjela

The duo Luka and Matej have prepared in their Petrunjeli maybe the most generous burger of the entire Advent fair – two beef burgers in one sandwich with great crispy pancetta and their original sauce, cheddar cheese, lettuce and pickles. Petrunjela double burger is ideal for the very hungry and with all the mentioned contents just one burger from Petrunjela would suffice. In addition, the offer of this house consists of several types of sandwiches with chicken and cheese, sausage and sauerkraut... but also pulled pork in a sandwich and several versions of tortilla, including the vegan one.

Čin Čin

This house, the Advent outpost of the bar of the same name located on Muraj (city walls), has based its offer on excellent cocktails and other hot and cold drinks, although homemade smoked sausages from a farm near Zadar are also constantly being cooked in their caldron. Barmen Roko Mijatović prepares in Čin Čin about fifteen typey of refreshing cocktails of which he named one after himself  – Hot Roko. In addition to all that, there are also nine types of fruit brandies on offer.

Dmaoo House

This team from Puntamika is led by the president of the youth association bearing the same name Niko Marin Youth Association and he decided to base his offer on several types of sausages and cold cut trays. The famous sausages of Dragan Vdaić simmer in the cauldron and from Butić Agricultural Farm Family, as well as debrecinke, kranjske… a tray with a mixture of all these sausages and four types of sauces are made for two persons according to all standards. The trays here are also filled with peosciutto, buđola, kulen, etc..

White Hill

Four cheerful young men, Mihael, David and two Karlos, named their house after the neighborhood they come from – Bili brig. Their ases are big beef Aduti burgers of  even 160 grams with different supplements, from truffle to jam and onions and – eggs they say that there are also homemade  divenica, but „he has not been ble to dry them due to the lack of the north wind  …“ They are particularly proud of their original Love cocktail, which has a non-alcoholic base and is made of passionfruit puree, lemon and apple juice, and water..

To that base, they add an alcoholic drink as desired by the guest: vodka, gin, whiskey … They say that every combination is excellent!
