International Dance Day

Dance Association Gesta has been organizing the celebration of International Dance Day for many years, held on April 29 at Five Wells Square (Petar Zoranić Square). Gesta brings together dancers from Zadar who cultivate a wide range of dance styles, with the aim of jointly promoting the beauty of dance as an art form and presenting the work of their associations or clubs to dance enthusiasts.

The program is divided into two parts. The first part begins at 5:15 PM with a performance by the youngest members of Gesta, while the central part of the celebration starts at 6:00 PM with a gathering of Zadar dancers from various associations and clubs. Each year, Gesta brings together an increasing number of participants, and this year twelve dance ensembles from our city have been announced.
