This year’s Advent in Zadar introduces a new urban music venue – the City Market. The program opens with one of Croatia’s most intriguing electropop bands – Nipplepeople, performing on Saturday, November 29 at 8:30 PM.
Nipplepeople are a Croatian electropop duo from Zagreb, formed in 2008. They are known for their distinctive anonymity – performing masked and avoiding media appearances, placing full emphasis on their music. Their sound blends elements of downtempo, trip-hop, and synthwave, creating a recognizable atmosphere and danceable rhythm that has made them one of the most respected acts on the Croatian scene.
They gained widespread attention with the single “Sutra”, which won the Single of the Year award at Serbia’s Loud & Queer Awards in 2010, and cemented their success with a cover of Zdenka Kovačiček’s hit “Frka”, which became a major regional success. They have performed at festivals such as EXIT, Sea Star, and Terraneo, and their live shows are known for their energy, simplicity, and visual allure.
