Brgulje On The Island of Molat, Favorite Destination For Many Navigators

This is of course due to the large bay with the greatest number of buoys for mooring vessels in the entire Zadar County. Brgulj Bay also offers security – almost no wind is a serious threat to safe mooring and stay. This is the reason why many vessels arrive in the bay – from small sailboats to large mega yachts like the 146-meter one owned by the Arabian sheik. 

The crystally clear sea in the bay is an additional bait for navigators. And the deserted wooded islet Brguljak, around which buoys are placed, is a true natural decoration of the large bay.

Brgulje is a small locality with its old part situated on a hill of about 1.5 meters from the sea. The newer part of the locality is next to the sea, around the small local port. The locals have adapted to the tourist development and many have arranged their houses into tourist apartments or have built summer homes. 

Once the tourist slogan of the locality was: ''Brgulje – hard to say, nice to stay''. Many guests have wished to remain throughout the year due to its natural charm and energy of a somewhat atypical Dalmatian locality but since it is not possible for most of them, then they regularly return every year. 

Brgulje is a quiet place without any night entertainment and therefore an ideal spot for a peaceful vacation, free from stress … It can be said: A small place for a big chill. Or, another word for chill in Dalmatia– fjaka.

The coastal part of Brgulje locality called Brgumul, offers places to visit and eat well. There are two restaurants, 'Janko', with a 40-year-long tradition with an excellent grill and traditional dishes, and  'Papa' that offers a constant and large selection of fresh fish and Pizzeria 'Mamma Sita' with excellent pizzas and bruschetta. The local store called 'Ćale' on the waterfront has a daily offer of all that disappears in the vessel storages.
