Advent In Zadar Is To Be Spectacularly Opened on November 24, Zadar City Day

The Advent stage on Petar Zoranic Square in Zadar will completely overshadow the legendary Zadar Kalelarga from November 24 to January 6 with its lavish children's program and workshops, concerts of big pop stars, cultural events, gastronomy and traditional sports events. Throughout 44 days in the months of November, December and January, the Advent event in Zadar has won over all the people of Zadar and many Zadar visitors. Even though the Advent event every year is characterized by spectacle and hustle and bustle, this year's Advent in Zadar is an even bigger story.

– The program is rich and diverse offering something for each visitor. This year we are starting spectacularly on the occasion of Zadar City Day and the feast of St. Grisogone - the Zadar Tourist Board announces the first two big concerts on Petar Zoranić Square. On Friday, November 24, Tony Cetinski will perform and one day later, on Saturday, November 25, the Dalmatian Acapella singing group Intrade and Tomislav Bralić have their performance. That is only the introduction to the manifestation that represents the crown of this year's record tourist season during which Zadar realized 2.2 million overnights from the beginning of the year to the end of October. These figures have launched Zadar among ten elite Croatian tourist destinations, to the eighth place, while statistics from October place it even higher - in the top five national destinations. This year, Zadar is also among the ten best in Croatia in terms of hotel tourist traffic and family accommodation, which makes it one of the most recognizable and desirable places for vacationing and enjoyment. The end of this year's tourist season has therefore been in style, and the recognition and success of Advent in Zadar is due to the City Tourist Board as the first organizational direction with the support of the Croatian Tourist Board and the Zadar County Tourist Board, the City of Zadar and the city company Tržnica Zadar.

– We are having a superb and record-breaking season which, thanks to post-season programs and events and cruise traffic, is still continuing. We are happy for all the visitors in Zadar during this manifestation, and we expect a significant increase in the number of overnights and arrivals compared to the previous years – the Zadar Tourist Board emphasizes.

Advent in Zadar will have a spectacular start with concerts of Cetinski, Bralić and Dalmatian Acapella singing group Intrade and the madness that will follow: among others, Let 3, Matija Cvek, Vatra, Jole, Ivana Kindl, Silente, Forum, Tonči Huljić & Madre Badessa and numerous other performers will perform on Petar Zoranić Square . The holiday hustle and bustle will be filled with traditional children's Advent performances, workshops, plays, and DJs and choirs and the unavoidable and appropriate Zadar Christmas Run that is traditionally run from Borik to Zadar.
