The Third Fish & Jazz Festival Concludes: Four Fantastic Concerts to Remember

The performance by Blue Eyes, titled Tribute to Frank Sinatra, concluded this year's Fish & Jazz Festival, organized by the Zadar City Tourist Board, on Sunday evening at the Walls of Zadar Uprisings.

Blue Eyes provided an unforgettable evening to the packed audience at St. Rocco’s Bastion, transporting everyone back to the golden swing era of the 1950s. Besides Sinatra's timeless hits, the band performed evergreen tunes of other mid-20th century stars like Dean Martin and Nat King Cole.

The final evening continued the musical diversity characteristic of this relaxed four-day jazz event. Each night of Fish & Jazz was unique, special, and memorable. Ana Uršula Najev and Black Coffee brought a lively mix of musical styles with their spirited performance. The second evening featured Istrian trumpeter Robert Mikuljan and his quintet, performing jazz trumpet and original compositions, while the third concert was dedicated to guitar, gypsy jazz, and the legendary Belgian guitarist Django Reinhardt, with Oriadano Trio Band delivering a relaxing yet virtuoso performance. Finally, Blue Eyes wrapped up the festival with Sinatra’s timeless classics, beautifully blending with the heritage walls and the Zadar sunset.

For these several evenings, Zadar’s Muraj turned into a vibrant promenade with an excellent music program, complemented by the delicious aroma from grills and tasty bites prepared by chefs Tihomir Bježančević and Mladen Križanović at the Cromaris Fish Corner. Vibrancy and charm were enhanced by handmade products displayed by local artisans on numerous stands, offering jewelry, decorative items, and fashion accessories.

And as we have previously written – Fish & Jazz is a small-scale festival offering great delights.
