Zadar Christmas Market 2022

Advent starts with the lighting of the first Advent candle in the Church of St. Simon after which the entertainment events begin. The atrium of Palace Cedulin will exhibit the Nativity and decorations of the Christmas season which will cheer up children. Besides offering a variety of animation programs, children will also await the visit of St. Nicholas on December 6 and St. Lucy on December 13, as well as the Children's New Year Eve on December 31 taking place in the morning hours.

The main events will, of course, take place outdoors, on the Square of the Five Wells and Petar Zoranić Square where a total of 25 wooden houses will be arranged. They will sell meat specialties appropriate for the time of the year such as fritelle, boiled wine and various other specialties. The special hustle and bustle of this year is expected on the morning of Christmas Eve where entertainment is to spread throughout the entire Peninsula.

The central point of good entertainment will be the stage on Petar Zoranić Square to be opened on November 24 by the Dalmatino concert. They are one of the most popular Dalmatian pop groups preparing for the concert of their career in Arena Zagreb on December 21st, while the Zadar public will be able to listen to their ten-year career repertoire one month earlier.

Besides Dalmatino performing on the Zadar stage, the Advent weekends will offer performances by Marko Škugor, Opća Opasnost, Matija Cvek, Petar Grašo, Soulfingersi, Cambi,  4 tenors, Ivan Zak, and on the morning of Christmas Eve  performers of the TV show A strana will perform. They delighted the Zadar audience last year on the same occasion and they are   - Vjeko Ključarić, Eni Jurišić, Daniel Jurišević and Sabrina Hebiri.

On New Year's Eve, the performers on People's Square (Narodni Trg) in Zadar will be Madre Badessa Band, Dalmatian A-capella group Rišpet Forum group.

During the Advent period, many restaurants, coffee shops, shops and museums will ensure the citizens with appropriate prices and offers of food within the “Đir po gradu” (A Walk Around the City) project.
