Zadar Christmas Market 2026: The Entire Old Town Dressed Up for the Advent

This year's Christmas Market in Zadar concept brings programming to the central location on Petar Zoranić Square, the City Market under the name "Christmas Gramophone", and, starting this year, a new location on the Forum next to the ice rink. Throughout the holiday season, these three locations will offer distinct musical vibes ranging from pop, rock, and urban sounds to traditional and spiritual music.

Younger audiences can look forward to performances by Adi Šoše, Matija Cvek, Ragazzi & Miach, and Kandžija, opening Advent to fans of contemporary pop, urban music, and modern performers. The City Market, which will come alive as the "Christmas Gramophone" during Advent, offers a more relaxed rock and alternative music rhythm. Gustafi, Kojoti, Pips, Chips & Videoclips, Belfast Food, Detour, and Psihomodo Pop are just a few of the bands that will turn this location into a hub for evening gatherings and good times.

Fans of Croatian pop and timeless hits can look forward to Leteći Odred, Ivana Banfić, Nina Badrić, and the BIG CroDance Party on New Year's Eve. A special festive atmosphere will also be brought by Mladen Grdović, the band Cambi, Klapa Niko, Iva Ajduković, and Miroslav Škoro.

The new location at the Forum, beside the ice rink, will enrich Advent with family activities, children's programs, and concerts. Along with a performance by Mia Dimšić, the Forum will host special concerts by Amorose as well as Emanuel & Albina, giving the holiday lineup a serene, spiritual tone.

Adding to the holiday charm on the Peninsula is the traditionally decorated atrium of the Cedulin Palace, which will offer a peaceful spot for family gatherings, photos, and a brief pause during an Advent stroll through the city. The historic atrium will also showcase life-sized nativity scenes, one of the signature motifs of Zadar's Advent story.

The program begins in the morning with a Children's New Year's Eve celebration on Petar Zoranić Square at 11:00 AM, followed by a midday celebration with a DJ at the City Market. In the evening, Petar Zoranić Square will feature Nina Badrić and the BIG CroDance Party (ET, Simplicia, Ilan Kabiljo, Alka Vuica, Senna M), while the bands Zaratino and Psihomodo Pop will welcome the New Year at the City Market.
