Marking the ninth anniversary of the inscription of Zadar’s city walls and fortification system on the UNESCO World Heritage List, the programme “Embrace Zadar” is dedicated to one of the city’s most valuable cultural and historical landmarks.
The programme introduces citizens and visitors to the significance of Zadar’s city walls as part of the World Heritage property “Venetian Works of Defence between the 16th and 17th Centuries: Stato da Terra – western Stato da Mar”. Through heritage interpretation and special events, “Embrace Zadar” invites audiences to rediscover a space that has shaped the city’s identity for centuries and remains one of its most recognisable features today.
