New Theater Season in the Croatian National Theatre Zadar

This performance, for which a higher number of tickets was requested in Split and Zadar, shall take place on October 18 at 8 p.m. The story follows the life of a little girl from her birth to the beginning of the war (time period from 1980 to the beginning of 1990) and through a series of entertaining stories, with a mixture of laughter and tears, we follow her entire family and neighbors. 

As was announced, this year's Zadar theatre season will be exciting, full of good performances, comedies as well as dramas.

- I would like to point out two premieres of Zadar CNT. "Umišljeni bolesnik" (The Presumptuous Patient) produced by  ZCNT is Molière's  play and this year marks the 400th anniversary of his birth. The director is Vinko Radovčić. We expect this premiere in November and in spring the second premiere "Obični heroji" (Ordinary Heroes) of Rok Vilčnik Rokgre directed by Matjaž Latin - announced Nena Ninčević Mandić, head of marketing of Zadar CNT.

Regarding the coming performances, in November we expect "The Realists" of Theater Exit and "Hamlet, evidencija zločina jedne monarhije" (Hamlet, the Evidence of a Monarchy's Crime) produced by Marin Držić Theatre.

- We really have a varied program, very good comedies and dramas. The "Predstava Hamleta u selu Mrduša Donja"  (Perfomance of Hamlet in Mrdušja Donja) is an absolute hit of Zadar CNT. The play premiered at the 28th Zadar Theater Summer and is actually a good introduction to the new theater season. The play was performed at the end of September and filled the theater hall. The following performance is to be on January 24th of next year and we invite all teachers and students, who after two pandemic years, were no table to see the performance, to be sure to come for many were left without a ticket at the last performance in September where 300 secondary school students watched the play. I would definitely point out that this year's program will attract a younger audience - announced the head of marketing.

Another event must be pointed out and it is to take place on January 10. Namely, that is when Arsenov Feral, an author project of the ensemble of Šibenik CNT, is scheduled, an evening of poetry and music where actors and musicians from Šibenik will perform. A concert within the season awaits us - the Just Friends Quartet, a Slovene ensemble with an interesting repertoire, music of the '50s of the legendary Sonny Rollins. There is also a guest appearance by Zagreb Comedy Theater, which comes with the performance of "Cabaret Zagrepčanke i statičar" (Cabaret of Zagreb Woman and Static Engineer)  directed by Ivan Leo Lemo.

This month, the performance “Meso“ (Meat) can be seen coproduced by Drama Plus and Zadar CNT which premiered at Zadar Theatre Summer and brought very positive reactions. The price of the ticket is of symbolic 50 kuna (approx. 7 Eur) towards a new beginning and those who missed it can come and see it. 

It is pleasing to say that from this season the full capacity of the theater is again available to spectators. There is also a great interest in subscriptions, and three types of subscriptions are offered - premiere, mosaic and student, which is a good model. The price has increased by 50 kuna.
