- Excuse me, how can we get to the Broken Glass Museum? – Is St. Donatus the only church in Zadar? – Can you tell me where I can find the Ban Jelačić statue on a horse – Do you have a reverse map of the island, when I look through the window they are turned differently? – I need the boat schedule for Zagreb. Is this (looking towards Ugljan from Gaženica) – Italy?
These are just some questions that informers come across in the Tourist Information Center of Zadar Tourist Office on the Peninsula. In the sea of useful information given to visitors “like on a belt conveyor“, there are those that make them laugh and remain long in their memory like the ones that follow.
The Tourist Information Center has an impressive number this year: more than 50,000 visitors went through the central office on the Peninsula, and on a record day there were 850 of them. The tourist informers offered information in the most represented world languages, English, German, Italian, French and Spanish, concerning the city attractions, cultural heritage, museums, gastronomy offer, road and sea timetable, all that made curious guests pass through their door.

- Most guests look for some information, whether a map of the city, places of interest, excursions, beaches, gastronomy, while some come to take a brochure, connect to free Wi-Fi, find something interesting at the interactive desk or get an idea on how to spend quality time in our city, says the head of the office, Morana Papić.
They praised the Picasso exhibition in the Duke's Palace, as well as the entire area of the second palace, the UNESCO heritage site, the 3D model of the city on the Wall of the Zadar Rebellions. Of course, none of the tourists were not able to find the Roman Forum, along with the Sea Organ and Greetings to the Sun. All the more of them, especially guests with higher payment capacity such as cruiser guests, looked for an autochthonous souvenir or gastronomy offer.

- It is not uncommon for us to help find accommodation for those who are left without any, whether something happened to their arrangement or they wanted to extend their stay. In such cases, we direct them to our application Zadar Travel, free for all registered renters in the Zadar City area, where they can view the accommodation available at that moment. There were also situations where we returned cell phones or wallets they had lost, says Papić.

The Tourist Information Center is important also in virtual space where it is the most searched for location on Google Map in Zadar - more than 7,000 people looked for its location through GPS on Google Maps. Various phone inquiries or online messages from guests are often received through this platform, and they are answered within half an hour. Besides those impossible to be given a serious answer, such as:
- How many stone slabs are there on Kalelarga? - Is Salvador Dali a local painter?
