Full Moon Festival | The Novelty Is In Its Music and Gastronomy

This year the event brings novelties that will bring new life to the traditional festival.  The Propela Organization has announced that after 18 years the time has come to redesign the manifestation.

- When the festival started, it was among the first on the Adriatic and it successfully took place for ten years in our county. The idea that had functioned for that long period of time has become unsustainable for small tourist offices in the county, led by the idea on the Full Moon Festival,  started organizing their own local feasts and manifestations that began to create their own character and value, a benefit that we are proud of, but that benefit had a bad effect on the Full Moon Fes-tival for towns and municipalities from the county slowly stopped coming to the city and the initial idea lost its basic value - Neven Stojaković from Propela told us. 

Therefore, the Full Moon Festival that is taking place this year from August 10 to 12 will bring some refreshment to the Waterfront, the organizer announced. 

- The initial idea will retain only its old title, with an event and mainly based on Mediterranean gastronomy, while the music is to undergo significant changes turning to a type of world-music direction but within the financial framework, of course. 

Starting from Thursday, August 10, every evening the Ljetno kino band which flirts with happy covers of music created in similar environments draw their art from a life that is not ideal, but precisely such circumstances create the sincerest musical expression, of course the Mediterranean being a true example of that.

- The second evening, Friday, August 11, will be dedicated to a similar source. Duje Stanišić and the Breskvice band will present the best of local music through an anthology of great songs from this area. The touch with local musical values will thus remain fully present – our interlocutor pointed out. 

The third evening is actually dedicated to good entertainment with Cubismo that does not require any introduction. In addition, every evening the bands will be accompanied by an adequate DJ program. However, the gastronomic part of the story will not be lacking.

- Two types of cuisine will be introduced on the waterfront that will give a different insight into the present local gastronomy. Ten chosen dishes will be presented though a connection of new and old and thus try to maintain the Mediterranean directness and relaxation. A greater number of places for dish offers is also a novelty worth noting - Stojaković announced more news.

Among other contents there will also be the “Pinel i vino” event, wine bar, two cocktail bars, the soparnik (a special flat bread) from Poljica, pony horse riding, camera 360... 

- Considering the circumstances surrounding the newly laid stone slabs, sensitive and porous, this year all the contents will be organized in the gravel area and green areas. We would also like to mention that in the future we expect international guest appearances with a greater contribution from the local community in a project that has been leading summer events for 20 years and deserves more attention - added Stojaković at the end.
