Big Band Šibenik

To celebrate its 155th anniversary, Zadar City Band, with the support of the Zadar Tourist Board, is organising a concert by Big Band Šibenik.

Big Band Šibenik, a city orchestra founded in 2022, will perform on 17 July at 8:30 PM at Cedulin Palace, treating the audience to an evening of outstanding jazz, funk and pop music.

Led by artistic director Željko Andrić, the musicians will bring energetic brass arrangements and the distinctive sound of a classic big band. The programme will feature well-known international hits and jazz standards performed by musicians from Šibenik, including arrangements of songs by Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Jamiroquai, Chaka Khan, The Crusaders and many others.

Depending on the programme, the orchestra brings together around 20 musicians from Šibenik playing trumpet, saxophone, trombone, flute, drums, keyboards, bass guitar and electric guitar. Vocal soloists Kata Vuletić, Margarita Mikulandra, Gabriela Filipi and Helena Hunčaga will also take the stage.

With pop, rock, funk and jazz arrangements, the audience can look forward to an evening filled with rhythm, improvisation and a great atmosphere in the unique setting of Cedulin Palace.
