The Pinija Hotel is Getting a New Zadar Conference and Event Center

At the end of season 2023, works began on two major investments in this hotel with the aim of further improving the quality of its offer. As we have come to know, the works covered by these investments will be carried out over the next two years, and they include the complete renovation of the hotel ground floor and the building of a Conference and Event Center Zadar where the former Maxi Bar was located.

The renovation of the ground floor of the hotel will include the remodeling of the main entrance, lobby, reception and aperitif bar with terraces. They are opening a new, larger animation room for their youngest guests.

A very interesting detail is, of course, the investment concerning the building of a new Zadar congress and event center which we were informed of by Danijela Stanić Halapija, sales and marketing manager in Hotel Pinija.

- The Conference and Event Center Zadar will have two multifunctional halls with a total capacity of up to 600 people with the possibility of partitioning into several smaller halls. The halls will have a lot of daylight, and the ceiling height is from 3.3 to 3.5 meters. The hall on the ground floor will be 283m2 in surface area with a capacity of up to 260 people in cinema seat setting, while the hall on the first floor will be 348m2 with a capacity of 320 people in cinema seat setting. What makes this space unique is the circular shape of the halls, because they are built from glass walls offering a view of the unique Zadar sunset. – she told us.

This investment will certainly be a quality addition to the offer of this hotel's long tradition. 

- Our belief is that this specificity of the hall shape will be very interesting to various organizers, whether it will be business gatherings or formal receptions, or the organization of weddings. – our interlocutor pointed out. 

We were also interested in in the fact that after this investment, Hotel Pinija might be planning to turn towards congress tourism.

- The building of the Conference and Event Center Zadar with two halls consists of a total capacity of up to 600 people, and Hotel Pinija has two more halls, one with a capacity of up to 150 people, and the other up to 70 people in cinema seat setting. The hotel offer itself is being supplemented due to the needs and potential of the development of Zadar and Zadar County as a destination for congress tourism which have been recognized, and thus the potential in the future for the year-round operation of the hotel. We believe that with this investment, Hotel Pinija is taking a significant step forward in the improvement of congress tourism of the hotel itself, the city of Zadar and Zadar County –Stanić Halapija concluded. 

It can also be added that these investments will continue in investing in the quality of the hotel's content and services in 2025, when, as she announced, new investments are being planned.

Otherwise, Hotel Pinija has been operating under the company Intermod d.o.o. since 2001, when the purchase of the hotel was realized, which expanded the company's core activity to include tourism and hospitality. At the time of purchase, i.e. annexation, the hotel was almost completely devastated and all investment activities were aimed at renovating the hotel, resulting in the hotel receiving the 3-star category already the following year. Significant investments have been made in the hotel since 2002, which resulted in acquiring a 4-star category for the hotel and its accompanying facilities in 2009.
