A New Brochure for Experiencing the Zadar Archipelago First-Hand

Titled “Islands That Tell Stories”, the brochure guides readers through the most stunning corners of the Zadar islands in a vivid, emotional, and inspiring way – from the peaceful coves of Premuda and the magical beaches of Olib, to tales of lavender pickers on Ugljan, the heart-shaped island of Galešnjak, the fishing village traditions of Kali, and the lighthouse at Veli Rat whose yellow façade – believe it or not – includes 100,000 egg yolks.

This is not a typical guide – it’s a living story. A story of people, customs, flavors, and landscapes. Each page captures a piece of island identity: how fish was once dried in the bura wind, where a "cathedral" for divers lies hidden beneath the sea, which island is lovingly called the “center of the world,” and where a “king” is still chosen to this day.

The content weaves together local legends, traditional recipes, and tips for exploring by foot, bike, boat – or simply with a relaxed pace and a touch of fjaka.

The brochure is the result of a heartfelt collaboration among local communities, who joined their knowledge, passion, and experience to show that our islands are not just dots on a map – but a mosaic of authentic experiences that leave lasting impressions.
