New Promotional Video of the Zadar Archaeological Museum

"One Museum – Myriad Stories" is a new promotional video of the Zadar Archaeological Museum, made in accordance with today's digital era and new technologies. It aims to popularize the rich material of this museum with a broad audience and make it recognizable outside the museum itself.

Video was presented to the public on Monday, January 24, 2022 and will have its official premiere as part of Museum Night, on Friday, January 28, on the Archaeological Museum's Facebook page.

The video's conception is more of a tourist character and is intended for a wide audience. Through it, we wanted to show the whole world the archaeological heritage that the Archaeological Museum preserves. The video is made in high resolution to be broadcast on all existing platforms, from television to social networks. Although the video forms a whole, it is conceptually directed so that each museum department can independently use the footage for their promotional purposes - Marina Brkić from the Marketing and Public Relations Department of the Museum explained.

The video is currently bilingual in English and Croatian, and the plan is to make it available in other foreign languages.
- It will be possible to view the footage on our social networks as well as on our new website that we are currently working on and which will be completed soon. Along with the video, which lasts a little longer than five minutes, we also made five smaller, shorter videos - said Brkić.

This promotional video is ideal for the excellent tourist promotion of the museum itself, the city and the county. It was filmed at three locations - in the church of St. Donat, in the Archaeological Museum of Zadar and the Museum of Nin Antiquities in Nin.

In the video, you can see beautiful shots of the interior of the church of St. Donat and museums and churches photographed from the air. Among the photos taken at the Zadar Archaeological Museum, the most attractive museum exhibits from three permanent exhibitions - prehistory, antiquity and the Middle Ages – are displayed. Two original 11th-century Croatian ships, known as the Condura Croatica, stand out in the Museum of Nin Antiquities. In addition to the museum's permanent exhibits, particular emphasis is placed on museum items stored in the museum safes. The video highlights an innovative way of making our souvenirs using 3D printers - Donata Smokrović, marketing manager, told us.

The team behind this video is comprises Damir Granić and Marko Kujundžić from the company Alba Digital, and their work eventually contained 450 minutes of material . The footage also proves innovative because the museum's interior was filmed with a drone, without a tripod, but the shots were mainly made "by hand".

- In this way, we wanted to bring the objects closer and give them some new dynamics so that we would not have a typical documentary film. The soundtrack to the video was carefully chosen, and every detail was paid attention to -  Alba Digital explained.
