From 10 to 12 April, Zadar will once again host the Tuna, Sushi & Wine Festival, an event that for years has brought together gastronomy, fishing tradition and the international culinary scene. The festival will take place at the City Market, where visitors will, over the course of three days, be able to enjoy a diverse selection of dishes inspired by tuna and other seafood, accompanied by wines from local winemakers and a varied accompanying programme.
The Tuna, Sushi & Wine Festival was created as a fusion of Zadar’s tradition of farming premium Adriatic tuna and Japanese culinary culture. Over the years, it has grown into a recognizable spring event that brings chefs, producers, culinary professionals and numerous visitors to the city. Through tastings, presentations and various gastro programmes, the festival promotes the quality of local ingredients and contemporary approaches to fish preparation.
Numerous restaurateurs and partners take part in the festival programme, while visitors can also look forward to appearances by well-known names from the culinary scene. Among them is one of Croatia’s most renowned chefs, David Skoko, while Zadar will also welcome Italian chef and gastronomic author Fabrizio Nonis, who is pleased to return to the city’s culinary scene.
Alongside the food and wine offer, the festival will feature a variety of accompanying events, including wine workshops, presentations, educational and cultural programmes, as well as evening music performances that will further enrich the atmosphere at the City Market.
