2023 Sunset Sports Media Festival

This year's issue of this unique festival, along with numerous interesting guests and panel discussions, brings exclusive world film premieres connected with sports themes. The opening of the festival shall thus be marked by the premiere documentary film "Football Must Go On" that follows the story of the Šahtar Ukrainian Football Club players from Donetsk, a club that has been playing outside its city and stadium for eight years due to the war in Ukraine

This documentary is the result of a cooperation between CBS and Paramount+, and has been created with the participation of Pete Radovich, multiple award-winning creative director and producer with Croatian roots.

- A lot of emotion and time have been invested in this project, and I'm sure that the story that follows the footballers of the Ukrainian club, their exile from the city that perished in the war and the personal stories of people like Dario Srna as a member of the club and a former Croatian national football team member, will not leave anyone indifferent. This film is charged with strong emotions, brings a comprehensive look at a season full of successes and challenges as this strong team roams the football fields of Europe and I am confident that it will tell a story that needs to be heard in a unique manner – Radovich stated.

Visitors of the Sunset Sports Media Festival will have the opportunity to see this intriguing sports-documentary serial on Thursday, June 1st, and it will not be released for distribution around the world before autumn. .

All the visitors of the festival will have the opportunity to meet Robby Naish live, the king of the world in surfing and watch one more film sports treat – the Oscar nominated film “The Longest Wave", that tells the story of this sports icon. Robbie Naish is an exceptionally popular surfer and an American entrepreneur who has been awarded 24 World Championship surfing titles, and his exceptional sports and life story began when he was only 13 years old when he won his first world championship in a competition with 400 competitors from all over the world. Besides promoting the film, Robby Naish will participate at the Sunset Sports Media Festival as a guest and panelist, and visitors will have the opportunity to know all they wish to know of his unique sports life  and business success.

The second edition of the Sunset Sports Media Festival will bring together numerous active and former world sports stars, renowned media experts and guests from the world of sports marketing, who will present various interesting things from the world of sports, media and marketing through a rich program and tell personal inspiring stories of success.
