Wings for Life World Run Returns to Zadar

With great excitement, we look forward to the 12th edition of the Wings for Life World Run – a unique global event that brings together hundreds of thousands of people in a noble mission: to run for those who can't. Over 13 million kilometers have been run so far, and the race has become one of the most important sporting events in May.

As every year, Zadar will be especially lively, hosting one of the most beloved races of this humanitarian-sporting spectacle. On May 4th, thousands of runners, joggers, and wheelchair participants will once again set off from the Liburnian coast, heading towards a future where spinal cord injuries are no longer insurmountable.

That weekend, a special energy fills the city of Zadar – something all those who have been part of the race at least once can confirm. It's not just a sporting event; it's an experience that stays with you.

This year, the festivities will begin on the evening before the race, on May 3rd, with a concert by Vesna Pisarović at the Zadar Forum. Our renowned singer rose to fame in the early 2000s with hits such as "Jutro donosi kraj" and "Sasvim sigurna," and many remember her performance at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2002, where she took 11th place. She has also ventured into jazz, and in recent years, she has once again captured the hearts of both older and newer generations.
