The Providur's Palace
The Proveditor's Palace is a monumental building that dominates the eastern part of the historical nucleus of the city of Zadar, and in which have been located throughout history the institutions of the city government. Due to its exceptional cultural and historical importance, the Proveditor's Palace was included in the Register of Immovable Cultural Monuments of the Republic of Croatia already in 1978.
The reconstructed Proveditor's Palace, which together with the Rector's Palace creates a complex of two palace, was officially opened April of 2022. The new Two-Palace Complex spreads over seven thousand square meters of surface area, and uniquely integrated, this historical complex has become not only Zadar's contemporary cultural and artistic center but a national one as well. Besides the exhibition and educational rooms, there are also spaces of the Zadar City Library branch and two concert halls wher the program is to be realized by the Zadar Concert Office.
