Kožino

Kožino

Kožino, an urban settlement with a lot of modern villas and apartments for rent, is located ten kilometres from Zadar. All of those seeking peace and a relaxing atmosphere full of scents of salt, sea and the exuberant Mediterranean vegetation know that Kožino is the best possible choice.

Around 800 permanent residents live in Kožino, and the Church of St Michael built in the 16th century dominates the village. The village is well connected to Zadar and other villages towards Nin, so it is easy and fast to reach Kožino. The majority of its inhabitants are engaged in agriculture, that is, in growing vines and olives which contribute to a special Mediterranean atmosphere of this small and peaceful village, where time stands still.

Kožino is an ideal place for spending a peaceful family vacation, and its tame sandy and pebble beaches with clear sea are especially inviting and safe for children. Just like in all the other areas in Dalmatia, numerous events and festivities are being held in Kožino during July and August, brimming with flavours and scents of superb local and traditional gastronomy. During that time there are local cheeses and prosciutto as well as lamb and fish specialties on the menus of local restaurants, to the delight of all the travellers and visitors from the entire Zadar Region.
