The Tuna, Sushi & Wine Festival will take place from Tuesday to Saturday, April 18 to 22, the most significant gastro-tourist manifestation of Zadar City.
The main foodstuffs at the TSWF come from the Zadar water area – tuna and white fish from its fish farms, while the theme day, Saturday, will be dedicated to oysters from Ston and cooled at -80 degrees Celsius, served with sparkling wine. The previous days of the festival will not be less interesting: on Tuesday, applied art and gastronomy will be thematically combined, so that dishes by the famous chef Marijo Mandarić will be served in glass pen-shells, while on the second day, Wednesday, chef Josip Vrsaljko will be introducing mackerel dishes. Picnic Street Food Corner will, at the same time, offer completely new combinations of taco flavors.
On Thursday, April 20, the chef Zadar Foša Restaurant, Saša Began, will offer dishes with farmed sea bass prepared in ike jime by a humane method where the fish does not experience stress and thus its flesh is of better quality. The students of the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Hospitality will have their day on Friday when students of the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Hospitality will prepare a large Brunch along with their teachers.
This years' TSWF will be held under a large tent with a transparent roof on Petar Zoranić Square with a constant Eno Corner offering wine from eight Zadar vintners, a Sushi Corner and a Family Farm Corner. Daily programs will take place in the morning and afternoon. The morning program will differ and be defined by a theme, while the evening programs will offer good food and a lot of good music by the Zadar DJs, and then the Songkillers on Saturday. This year's Tuna, Sushi & Wine Festival is being organized with the support of Zadar City and Zadar County, Zadar County Tourist Board, the Croatian Tourist Board and a series of other partners. The entire program can be seen here.
