Upcoming Meat Me 5.0 Festival

In mid-October, Zadar becomes a must-visit destination for food lovers as the city prepares for the fifth edition of the popular Meat Me Festival. From Wednesday, October 9 to Saturday, October 12, the historic market square in Zadar’s Old Town will transform into a culinary oasis where visitors can enjoy premium meat specialties and local wines.

This unique gastronomic event, first held in 2019, has quickly gained a reputation as a favorite food festival, reviving Dalmatia's rich culinary heritage in the post-tourist season. What sets it apart is its blend of authentic charm and traditional Dalmatian meat dishes, enjoyed by both locals and tourists alike.




The festival is supported by Zadar's four largest butchers – Paleka, Biloglav, Gobin, and Lukin – providing top-quality meat. Teams from local restaurant Hedonist, konoba Martina from Dugi Otok, and Tabbay meat products will prepare delicious delicacies. Additionally, teachers and students from Zadar’s Hospitality and Tourism School, led by expert Renato Kraljev, participate, promoting young culinary talent.




The entertainment part of the program will be provided by a DJ who will warm up the atmosphere every day of the festival, and the organizers also announce three concerts: on Thursday, Lucija Marcelić & Pink Noise will perform, on Friday, the famous rock&roll band from Zagreb - Swingers, while Saturday is reserved for the genius "cracked team'' - Kuzma & Shaka Zulu.
