Upcoming Meat Me Festival | Butcheries Biloglav

Biloglav butchery is not just a place where you buy meat, its an institution that has been maintaining the butchery tradition in Zadar for almost a century.

Since 1934, when the first generation started this business, Biloglav butchery has gone through four generations of dedicated butchers, preserving quality, family passion and commitment to top quality meat products.

The young successor, Mate Biloglav, points out that the reason for their success is surely: local meat, of proven origin.

- The veal is from the area of Lika, the pigs and beef are either from Podravina or Slavonia, while the lambs are from the hinterland of Zadar - points out Mate.

This family has as many as four butcher shops, three of which are in Zadar, and one is in Zemunik, where they originally come from.

- I believe that's why customers keep coming back to us, they simply trust us and know that we will never deceive them - Mate is clear. He will soon start a small revolution: he will open a butcher's shop in TIZ buildings in Zadar, which will be much more modern than any so far, both in appearance and offer.

- We will offer semi-finished meals. I know how important free time is, especially for women who, in addition to their work, “keep three corners of the house”, that's why we will offer a lot of dishes that are immediately ready to cook or bake, in order to make things easier for them - concludes Mate and confirms the old saying that every new generation brings modernization. In any case, the Biloglav family bases its values on freshness, meat quality and customer satisfaction.

We are honored that Mesnice Biloglav will be part of the Meat Me Festival in Zadar this year. Their meat will serve as a base for specialties prepared by Zadar restaurateurs, combining centuries-old tradition with modern gastronomic trends.
