Treasury of the Franciscan Monastery

Behind the main altar of the Church there is a wooden choir, a magnificent work of floral Gothic signed by the carver John, the son of Giacomo da Borgo Sansepolcro of Venice, completed in 1384. Mention should be made of a painting on wood by the Venetian painter Lazzaro Bastiani (died in 1512) positioned on the front wall of the Sacristy depicting the heavenly and earthly Church with historical figures such as Matthias Corvinus, Pope Sixtus IV and Katarina Kosača-Kotromanić.

Several artistically valuable crucifixes are kept in the Monastery Treasury, a painting of a Dead Christ from the 16^th century, a work by Jacopo da Ponte Bassano, statues from the Annunciation of Mary from 1408, a part of a polyptych in wood by Peter de Riboldis from 1433, etc. In the glass showcases of the first hall samples of precious illuminated coral codices are exhibited (from 14^th and 15^th centuries), as well as important historical documents about the Monastery, several incunabula and important historical seals. Copies of Mass vestments from past centuries have also been preserved here, and a gilded Gothic procession cross, stolen in the famous 1974 robbery, was kept in the Monastery.
