Café Since 1796

Where café Forum is located today, there used to be a building from 1779, and in it the old and popular city Caffé alla Provvidenza. It was opened in 1796 by connecting two older cafés, from which one was called Caffé al Dose, and the other Caffé al Principe Ereditario. It was again separated in 1922 into two modern café bars, Roma and Sportivo. They were destroyed in the bombing of the city in 1943. Modern café Forum is now in the building that was erected in 1966.
