Over 35 Types of Liqueurs Used to Be Manufactured

Many liqueurs which received planetary fame are manufactured in Zadar, particularly Maraschino, but the spirit of the gallant times was irreversibly left in history, together with the 19^th century. There is no more Casanova whom would Maraschino help in his night adventures, no more Marshal Auguste de Marmont, Emperor Napoleon I or Nicholas I and their palace balls, at which the guests were served this exceptional Zadar beverage. In 1857 in Zadar there were 18 distilleries recorded, which manufactured no more or less than 35 types of liqueurs.
